I don't know if you'll even find this interesting but... here goes. I have recently finished my Certification to Teach English as Foreign Language (TEFL) and have prospective jobs in Indonesia or China, inshallah. The disappointing thing is that I have been jobless for almost 2 years now here in the US; in those 2 years I finally finished my Highschool education - I stopped highschool and worked almost 5 years before losing my job - and now I have my TEFL Certification. I am the only Muslim in my family, also from a poor family and a Mother who has to use a wheel chair. Yes, I have a brother here, the brother whom my Mother prefers to have help her. With a relatively low income and living standard in comparison to the rest of the states, I need to find a way to help come up with $1000-1300 for a plane ticket while I continue to work odd jobs like cleaning, cooking, mowing, picking up leaves, oil changes etc. I currently have gotten $120 thus far. Any information or help you can give in assisting me to raise this money, Jazakallah Kheyr, may Allah reward you. I just really want to finally get a job to help people and to be able to support myself independently, I just need help getting to that point inshallah. I am continuing to look for part time jobs here in Tennessee, but every day more people are laid off. If I could get just 100 or so people to donate $10-15 each it would cover my needs easily. And Walahi I am telling you the honest to God truth in these words, I just have no other choice but to ask people for help at this point, and tell my pride goodbye. ***EDIT*** TRY to give sadaqah (charity) to help our Imam become a teacher, and help the community!
