Begin Ramadan With Living Islam Festival, The Full Line Up

A beautiful way to prepare for Ramadan, the Living Islam Festival begins on the 28th July in the serene Lincolnshire countryside. Everyone attending will pray Friday prayers (Jum'ah salat) on an open field; children riding horses, the youth protecting the congregation - this truly is "living Islam".
While many more artists and speakers are to be confirmed, Living Islam.org released the latest update of iconic faces to attend the camping event. Performers include Zain Bhikha, Maker Zain and Dr Hany Al Banna and Sheikh Halal Salem are in the line up of important talking heads.
This July insha'Allah MUSLIMNESS will be attending, behind the scenes and leading a group of young'uns as a Scouts Leader. Hopefully, the casualty rate will be lower this year. I kid.

American Muslim Mom calculated the top 50 'Muslim Mom' blogs ranked by hits and popularity, of which MUSLIMNESS made the top ten.

I said:
Language skills are undervalued. With over 1 million words in the English language, our vocabulary is still limited and we resort to foul language and texting as an accepted form of communication. It is an acceptable form, but we need to switch off and have articulate, adult conversations more often.
American Muslim blogs and organisations. What's up with that?
I said: Yes, the American Muslim scene has more action but compared to Britain, it's 40 times larger so there is an amplified American Muslim culture. Things are bigger, maxed out, maxi-sized, everything is "awesome". Even politics is a form of entertainment. In Britain, attitudes are generally more conservative. However, while British Muslim projects are not on the same scale as America, we are just as innovative, creative and revolutionary. There are renowned British Muslim figures in every field, outspoken, and creating change. Hamdulillah.
