Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Asalaam alaikum! Well, EIGHTEEN more days...

Till what you ask? Till I am on the move yet again - Packing my bags and facing dreaded Immigration. Twice.
In nearly three weeks I fly from Dunedin to Auckland, then from Auckland to Los Angeles (where I get to go through immigration, wohoo), then Los Angeles to Toronto (hello Canadian immigration! You're not so bad, I mostly like you, the Canadian passport helps...) then Toronto to Montreal.
A total travel time of 40 hours, Layovers included.
I have thus been grounded long enough that I am not completely dreading the trip. I do have a few layovers and a lot of connections due to the fact this flight was rescheduled I was supposed to fly out in August - but with a baby on the way I want to be home with family and free health care!
This time I will be extra prepared, not that I am normally di organised, but last time I lost one of my tickets and gave my passport an accidental bath... On such a long journey I cant expect my mind to be at its intellectual peek the whole time. Depending on how much sleep I get and the jet lag, common sense could easily fly out the airplane window.
I bought a passport and ticket holder. It's like a leather photo file with a place for documents, itinerary and pockets for different currencies. I love my new toy... I mean "organizational tool".
I've done my shopping, have all the stuff I want to bring back for family and can't wait to see them.
Although I will be separated from my husband I have a lot I am looking forward to; my grandmother's 75th Birthday, seeing my sister, and finding out the sex of my baby inshaAllah.
So I am organizing and packing slowly the things I won't need from now until the time I will go back.
Not looking forward to leaving my friends, the Halaqa group and Quran Classes. I will miss the girls here a lot, but each place has its own appeal and with my sickness not completely gone but slowly starting to fade away, and my appetite not quite there but creeping back, I am looking forward to some home food.
So I am on the move again, this time a tad rounder then before and looking forward to the up coming time with my family and life events InshaAllah.
I'll keep you guys posted, I will have plenty of time to blog on my 8 hour layover in LA.
Till next time!
asalaam alaikum
