RESULTS DAY!

In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ Peace be with you السلام عليكم
So everyone got their results yesterday for AS/A level in England. Students with their results all varied in facial expressions, emotions and colour. Some were shining stars with ‘A’s and ‘B’s, others with sulked heads and arms dragging on the floor and special students (like ME) got the alphabet! ABCD
I was gutted all day yesterday and everything felt terrible. I got over it alhamdulilah because it really isn't the end of the world if these worldly things don't turn out as we desire, 'Along WITH every hardship is relief'. And it’s just natural that Allah tests us with things like 'results day' to see how our hearts respond.
Will I pray extra nafl of thankfulness?
Will I pray extra nafl of acceptance of my crap grades?
Will I pray extra nafl for help on the real results day...?
‘So where are you going? That is but an advice to the entire creation! For the one among you who wish to become upright. And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation.’ Surah Tawkeer.
I remembered reading in Surah Abasa about how on Judgement Day those believers that have their book of deeds handed in their right hand, will be happy, faces lit up 'laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Jannah)'. I can just imagine inshallah rushing to our families showing them all the good we did. Kind of like the 'A' students :)
And then we have those that will receive the book in their left hand, behind their backs, 'darkness will cover them'. These will be the Kafara and the fajara (disbelievers in Allah and the wicked evil doers)
In Ramadhan inshallah try to make as much du'a as possible for protection from hell fire, and pray for jannah, pray for forgiveness and that you receive the book in your right hand, and to not be of those that have dark faces inshallah, ameen.
Muhammad saw said 'the fasts and Quran are two intercessors for the servant of Allah on Day of resurrection.' (Ahmed)
Muhammad saw said, "Ramadan has come to you. (It is) a month of blessing, in which Allah covers you with blessing, for He sends down Mercy, decreases sins and answers prayers. In it, Allah looks at your competition (in good deeds), and boasts about you to His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves, for the unfortunate one is he who is deprived in (this month) of the mercy of Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted." [Narrated by Tabarani]
There are so many more ahadith about Ramadan and Judgement day you can look up inshallah. But the thing I was trying to say is that these do count, for a short time only, aiming for an A in the hereafter is first on a Muslims mind.
Yawmul Qiyama- the ONLY results day I should be crying about.
