Little Ramadan Experiences

Everything I have experienced and witnessed so far this Ramadan has been absolutely downright amazing Masha’Allah. Usually I see the Muslim community around me show a sincere passion and love towards Islam but their love and passion is at its most supreme strength during the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar. More Muslims attend Masjids, more Muslims do Dhikr, more Muslims eat together as a whole family, more Muslims do religious activities, more Muslim youth help their parents and the limitless list goes on.
I am very proud of my family. Masha’Allah my younger sister decided to read more Quran, read her Namaz (Urdu/Farsi for salah) on time, learn the 99 names of Allah SWA , start wearing full Hijab and everything done was completely her own choice. Masha’Allah I cannot just use words to explain how awesome my grandma (correction: superwoman) is and always will be. Her Duas, her speeches, her kindness, her wisdom, her determination, her love, her awesomeness and yet again another limitless list goes on.
AND of course I am proud of my parents, the only reason I became more interested in Islam was because of them and their kindness. My dad (aka Mr Incredible) due to odd working hours hasn’t had the opportunity to eat at Iftari time with all of us. I will totally get teased for saying this but I love my dad’s lectures, he has a natural awesome talent of speech and Insha’Allah we will get a chance to eat with him very soon. My Mum (aka Doorway to Heaven) is reciting the Quran as I am writing this blog. Her voice will probably echo through my head as I attempt to fall asleep after Taraweeh prayers. During Ramadan I’ve been watching my mum support my younger sister (will be starting secondary school in a week Insha’Allah), look after my other 3 sisters (monsters of cuteness Masha’Allah) and then encourage me to keep working hard (I start GCSEs in UK in a week Insha’Allah). Mum, you are so cool (yes I know this blog can be read by the public and YES I did just say my mum is cool).
Even though only a week has passed of this blessed month, this is by far the best week in my entire life. I constantly feel happiness, positive and relieved during Ramadan and Insha’Allah I hope that I continue to feel like that. Also Insha’Allah, I hope this month will be a great month full of beneficial activities, forgiveness and good changes for everyone.
