Author and journalist Andy Worthington is a frequent writer in criticising every issue around freeing Guantanamo detainees as well as closing it completely. His critique of current affairs, media and the judicial system concerning those detained is nothing short of brilliance. His book The Guantánamo Files: The Stories of the 774 Detainees in America’s Illegal Prisonincluding reviews by Guantanamo prisoner Moazzam Begg, tells the story of every trapped man in Guantanamo. You MUST buy it (US & UK).
In a recent article "What The British Government Knew About The Torture Of Binyam Mohamed" Worthington concisely presents a timeline of events including unknown little gems of the British Government...
"...The government has been so desperate not to reveal any actual details about what it knew and what it did that the foreign secretary, David Miliband, has spent the last eleven months fighting to persuade the judges in Mohamed’s case not to publicly reveal even a 25-line summary of the intelligence reports received from the Americans, despite the fact that numerous parties have cast doubts on Miliband’s supposed reason for doing so — because it would apparently cause an unhealable rift between the US and UK intelligence services — and even though the judges have poured scorn on this idea, suggesting instead that the government is invoking national security issues to protect itself from political embarrassment..."

Convert to Islam and international speaker Hamza Tzortzis smacked French Predident Nicolas Sarkozy in the face by questioning the so-called liberal's double standards on tolerance and cultural understanding of Islam.
Tzortzis comments:
"On the 22nd June 2009 French President Sarkozy announced that the Burqa is incongruous with French values. He said "In our country, we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity," Sarkozy continued "The burqa is not a religious sign, it's a sign of subservience."[1]
Despite Sarkozy’s political opportunism, his ideological contradictions expose his conscious ignorance, and some may say, out right hatred for the Islamic way of life. Sarkozy who advocates and propagates liberal secularism has forgotten his intellectual heritage. Liberal secularism rests upon the premise of individualism, in other words, viewing the self – the human being – as an abstract entity divorced from social attachments. Two key values are built from this premise, individual freedom and individual rights. According to individual freedom, also explained as freedom of choice, the Burqa shouldn’t be a problem and should be tolerated under French liberal values. So why the contradiction?..."

On behalf of Change the Story.com.
"What Do You Think?
President Barack Obama gave a speech in Cairo on June 4 in which he called for a new beginning between the U.S. and the Muslim World. (If you missed it, watch the video on Change the Story).
"In our recent poll, about 75 percent of you said yes, the speech will help. The other 25 percent remains unconvinced. We'd like to thank our readers and fans from all over the world--from India to Norway to Nigeria and beyond--for participating in the poll. We, like you, think that the more people weigh in about U.S.-Muslim relations, the more our leaders will pay attention."
We want to hear from you! Tell us your reaction to President Obama's speech by filling the quick form on our site."

"According to various UK media outlets, non-Muslims are increasingly going to Shari’ah (Islamic law) courts for justice. The fact that non-Muslims are willfully using Shari’ah courts in the UK for adjudication in disputes should not be entirely surprising.[i] There are two reasons for this. The first is that the UK justice system is failing its people:.."
