In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Asalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Want a drug that could lower your risk of diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and colon cancer?
That could lift your mood and treat headaches?
That could lower your risk of cavities?
It sounds too good to be true, but yes indeed, it's COFFEE! And it's good for you! Looks like my favorite morning drink that I'm usually worried about actually has benefist. Well of course I knew it had benefits; why else would I drink like 3-4 cups a day...?
According to a lot of medical professionals as outlined in WebMD.com [link] it may have more benefits then some may have realized.
The coffee you are drinking is chock full of antioxidants and other compounds that are 3 and a half times more beneficial then tea, alhumduillah.
Coffee is even known to help you athletically which is why it was recently deemed a controlled substance by the Olympic Games Committee.
After analyzing data on 126,000 people for as long as 18 years, Harvard researchers calculate that compared with not partaking in America's favorite morning drink, downing one to three cups of caffeinated coffee daily can reduce the diabetes risk by single digits. But having six cups or more each day slashed men's risk by 54% and women's by 30% over java avoiders.
That’s not to say it doesn’t have its down sides: if drank in large quantity by those a little more sensitive to caffeine… let’s just say even a million sheep won’t help in your battle for sleep. Also keeping in mind that caffeine isn’t for everyone, some react badly to the stimulant, others whose body can’t take excess doses of caffeine can become extremely nervous, tremble, and develop a rapid heartbeat.
The Coffee Love
Basically drink what you're currently drinking, don’t cut down if you don’t want to. That doesn’t mean increase your current consumption thinking you can take an overdose, you can't. Whether you drink one cup a day or four, don’t feel guilty because if it doesn’t affect your daily life as negatively as we were always told, coffee can actually be quite healthy for you.

Don't you think you've had enough? - Shhhh* The coffee-maker might hear you!

So drink your coffee and enjoy it … and think,
“Which of the Blessings of your Lord will you Deny” Quran (55:13)
Ok, maybe that’s slightly out of context, but Allah swt created the coffee bean and I will happily digest it in large quantities!
Take care and happy brewing,Walikum asalaam wa rahmatulla
