Are Homeschooled Children Clever Enough?

In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم

Our sister blogger Hijab Master posted an interesting question about homeschooling I wanted to put forward again.

If parents have the time and dedication, are Muslim children better off being homeschooled at a certain age?

As a Muslim I've had the best of all educational worlds. I've been homeschooled, studied here in the UK at a public school (the trashy one), a private school (the uptight one) and a faith school (the Muslim one). University life too is a mix of studying independently, under wise guidance, in a mixed environment and 'sisters only' zone.

With this experience I can say offhand a bite of all learning lifestyles creates a more stable student with understanding of the full educational effects. Simultaneously, homeschooling for younger children is imperative as they're given more attention with guided lessons and without external influences. As soon as puberty strikes too I'm for single sex schools to the extent that the other gender is not completed isolated off.

Homeschooling has its benefits and is usually more flexible but it doesn't work by itself for a rounded educational upbringing. Dipping into it at maturity junctions seems like a good idea but this could disrupt the learning growth.

So my questions to you: If you have children do you homeschool them and why? Are mixed school and school environments better than homeschooling? And how do you balance a boring home education with enthusiasm?
