In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ Peace be with you السلام عليكم
I have these little Imaan (spiritually high) moments during the day or week, kind of like an anchor of happiness or contentment that keeps my faith firm.A while back I was praying maghrib (sunset prayer) at a relatives house, and these three little cousins of mine aged 2, 3 and 4, stumbled into the room and watched me silently. I thought they'd jump me or start pulling me to come outside and play, but alhamdulilah they were so quiet.
The smallest and most adorable of the bunch Sundus, stood right next to me shoulder to shoulder, foot to foot, well it was more like shoulder to leg since she's tiny! Mashallah.
I was so surprised and happy because she copied every movement with precision and humbleness. Although her prostration was more like a hand stand it was still so heart warming praying with such a small member of the Ummah. She prayed with full concentration and although she doesn't understand what salaah is or why Muslims pray, she sees the peace it brings to those around.
She prayed more perfectly than I've seen any grown man or woman pray.She had something called Khushoo- being humble, submissive and focussed in prayer.
I gave her a big hug and she giggled when we completed our prayer because she made me smile so much. We sat together with our hands raised and made a really long prayer. Alhamdulilah.
May she grow to be a beautifully devout and good person, living a tranquil life of humility inshallah.
