In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakhatuhu!
How are you? Hope you are well and in the best of health and imaan as always. How’s your week been then? Hope everything has been well inshaAllah.
Right so in the last month I attended an Islam Awareness week event and have been up to my kufi in my radio show. While we wait for photos and blog updates from both, let's talk about salah!
During Islam Awareness Week, we performed our salah in the exhibitions as a form of da'wah. Alhamdulillah it was very successful as many people took interest by observing our prayers.
A few weeks ago, I was told of a university near London where their application for a prayer room was rejected and was told to pray in the multi faith prayer room (which we aren’t allowed to do). What struck me was the piety and dedication from the Muslims there, as since they were rejected from the prayer room, they had been praying outside. Huge amounts of people praying outside Alhamdulillah!
"And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]." Qur'an, (2:43)
