"Have those who do not believe not seen that the skies/heavens and the earth were one? (as one unit) Then we separated them, and made every living thing out of water. Will they then not believe?"

- All of the planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, the Asteroids, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune were part of the Sun, they are 'children' of the Sun. (Pluto's no longer that important... [link])
- There are scientific theories about how Sun 'created' these celestial beings. One attempt was the nebular hypothesis [link] originated by the Germl philosopher Kant in the 18th Century. He and others supported that the current planetary system condensed from a huge mass of hot gas = a nebula. As it shrank it left rings behind which condensed into planets.
- Contemporary astronomers have rejected this view [link].
- Professor Chamberlain and Moulton of the University of Chicago in early 1900 developed another idea called the planetesimal theory. [link] This stated that the mass of the Sun ejected clouds of matter called planetesimals; the larger chunks of these gathered together by gravity and formed planets.
- Sir James Jeans proposed a tidal theory that suggested that a fast moving star passed our sun and draw out 'streamers' which compacted into planets. Another British astronomer, Harold Jeffreys, suggested an actual collision between the sun and the passing star. [link]
- Whatever individuals find with developing technology, discuss and theorise, the fact remains that Allah created our Earth by 'throwing it off' from the sun, and not condensing it:
"By the Earth and Him who extended it"
