Muslimness nominated for Brass Crescent Award

Recently Muslimness was notified of two nominations in the Brass Crescent Awards 2009: Firstly for Best Group Blog and for Best New Blog. That's pretty cool. Only there's no cash reward, pffft. I was like 'oh, don't nominations even get like a coupon?' And the BCA were like 'erm, ha, no unfortunately, the nomination and award is for impacting the social global network in promoting a positive image of Muslimness' and then I was like *frown* 'Hmph, alrighty, like, I guess that's honour enough... eh... alhamdulillah'.

The Brass Crescent Awards started in 2004 with the purpose of "promoting the best writing of the Muslim web".

• Sister Sabrina's Slice of Lemon nomination in the Best Design category.
• Captain Chaos' nomination in the Best Humour category. He's a star.
• Sister Kauthar Muhaib's nomination for chronic tweeting.
• The Gori Wife Life in the Best New Blog category. Also a rare Gori gem.
• Inside Islam, winner of the Best Non-Muslim Blog.
