Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Have you ever found yourself needing to pray in the dark but unable to figure out the direction of the Qibla? Well a glow-in-the-dark prayer mat designed by Soner Ozenc, might just be the high-tech answer.

Based in London, Soner Ozenc has crafted this 'intelligent' prayer rug 'Sajjadah 1426' that uses LED technology to not only light up the environment but intuitively find the right direction to pray. Wire embroidery - Electro Luminescent Phospore Printing Technology - is woven into the rug for sensory perception; the lighting responds to the orientation, which glows the brightest only when the rug is in the correct direction towards Makkah.

'Sajjadah' is an Arabic/Persian word meaning 'prostration' and the number 1426 stands for 2005 in the Islamic calendar, the year El Sajjadah was created.
EL Sajjadah is not for sale yet although it would be interesting to see who would want or need it; the ingenuity and design of EL technology is definitely smart; useful for a camping trip or pilgrimage perhaps.
