Day 18
Wow, about half of Ramadan is already gone! I apologize for the lazy "diary entries", it's just that there seriously anything to write. This one may be a bit more exciting, though!
I know two other reverts in my town... They are both white Australian sisters and are much older than me. One of the sisters invited the other revert sister and I to her place for iftar. When I got there, I sat on the couch with S* (the other revert sister) while M* (the host of the iftar) got her and S' kids organized with dinner.
S and I talked Islam for a bit, and caught up since we hadn't seen each other since last year when I was a fresh Muslimah, non-hijabi and quite unknowledgeable (is that even a word?) about Islam.
We then got up for dinner, which was lasagne and salad... YUMMY! I should have taken photos. I totally forget, grr! For dessert, we had chocolate truffles and strawberry icecream with strawberries on top. A Turkish sister popped in with her kids, chatted for a bit while her kids played with S' and M's kids.
Maghrib was prayed, Islam was discussed and not long after that S had to go home. I stayed back for a few more hours to further talk Islam with M, then I went home. Islam is all I talk about these days, kinda why I don't hang out with non-Muslims anymore.
Driving home was so annoying - the dew was all over my car and clouded up all of my windows, so I had to keep the windscreen wipers on and the windows down, which was freezing.
When I got home, I prayed and started downloading The Arrivals videos. It's an awesome series, I suggest you check it out at WakeUpProject.com. It's all about the Dajjal and stuff, and is pretty scary, eye-opening and iman-increasing!
