Baba Ali of Ummah Films talks about Cultural Parenting in his latest video - where Muslims mix cultural values with Islam, making it difficult for young adults to differentiate. This is a case of understanding how actions that speak louder than words, can have a backlash.
Cue Shaykh Hamza Yusuf: "Sometimes so much emphasis is made on children respecting their parents, that actually our parents forget that in Islam young people have rights as well".
