Faith Through a Lens (www.faiththroughalens.co.uk) aims to get people out in their local community to photograph the positive impact of faith in their community. With the all too negative media that surrounds religion these days and talk of British Prime Minister David Cameron’s ‘Big Society’ initiative, this is obviously a very relevant and topical competition that aims to look at the way faith binds communities together.

Prizes
Three amazing prizes will be awarded at an awards ceremony held at Whitechapel Gallery in London on 22 November 2010. (think phenomenal camera equipment).
Competition Guidelines
This is your chance to capture faith and the community; we're looking to find the amateur photographer that best captures the essence of 'faith and the community'. You could win photographic equipment for your chosen charity, faith or community group.
Judged by internationally renowned photo journalist Don McCullin; alongside David Tyler from Community Matters and David Cornick from Churches Together in England. As well as a representative from Congregational Insurance.
Photographs can be submitted between the 30th July and 31st October 2010 and will be judged on their composition and interpretation of faith and the community.
