Oh Perpetual Sinner! Oh Child of Adam!

In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

How are you? How’s your week been then? Hope you are in the best of health and imaan as always.

More posts will be coming from me, The RadioWave Inshaa’Allah in regards to our last ISOC event here in Manchester, UK, and a summary of my past shows on the radio. For Muslimness new-comers, I'm a radio presenter working on Crescent Community Radio.

Yesterday on my show I went through a Hadith Qudsi, it was really powerful and emotional and I thought I’d mention it on here. A Hadith Qudsi (plural Ahadith Qudsiyyah) is a statement where Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reports a statement and he refers it directly to Allah. The regular Hadith or what is generally known as a Hadith Nabawi is a Hadith where one of the Companions reports the Prophet's statements, his deeds, or things that happened in his presence and he approved of them. There are more than one hundred Ahadith Qudsiyah. They are very beautiful and deal mostly with spiritual and ethical subjects. For more information on the different types of ahadith, click onto [IslamOnline.net].

Subhan’Allah the hadith we discussed on my radio show highlights the unlimited mercy of Allah.

On the authority of Anaas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: Allah the Almighty said:

"O son of Adam! so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam! were your sins to [pile up] reaching the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness as great as it." '

It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.

The lesson here is to always turn to Allah first. When you're feeling guilty or depressed, turn to Allah first. Always have the balance between fear and love; when you fear Allah it is not a frightening nightmarish fear which stops you from moving, it is an obedient fear which makes you worship more to avoid the punishment of Allah = Jahannam. Always hope and aspire to enter Jannah (paradise) Inshaa’Allah. Greedily carry out many GOOD deeds to enter Jannah!

It’s also never too late to repent. The 'God of Islam' is questioned for appearing unforgiving and unloving. People, the Allah of humanity is the MOST forgiving and MOST loving being you will ever hear of! Allah's doors of mercy are constantly open no matter what sin you commit. However, Muslims cannot use the excuse of 'I'll do this haram act, it's o.k. Allah will forgive me'. Allah will forgive everything except (major shirk) :: attributing any partners to His existence and worshipping another 'god' (including yourself). Allah will lovingly forgive any believer, up to the point of death - until you see the angel of death. After this, there are no second chances, and judgement for exceptions is up to Allah.

Therefore, Oh Child of Adam! Oh Perpetual Sinner! Turn back to Allah! Allah who is Perpetually Forgiving!

"But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance." [Quran, 20:82]

Take care. May Allah keep you on the straight path, bless you, always keep you happy and keep you in the best of health and imaan as always. Ameen!

Wa alaikum us salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
