On a personal message to all, I'd like to bring to attention the Muslim brothers and sisters who are visually impaired, have hearing difficulties and physical disabilities. These people are no different from anyone else, they practise Islamic faith to their best ability and live full lives. Sometimes however, they don't, and need full support, attention, and human compassion.Kitaba is one such organisation that is providing a service for the blind who wish to learn from Islamic literature.
"We at the Islamic Texts for the Blind believe that all people with visual impairments should be empowered and should be able to participate fully in cultural, community and religious activities. We recognise that Muslims with visual impairments have to overcome many barriers."
If you know anyone who is blind and would benefit from Islamic literature translated into braille, click onto Kitaba, browse through and make sure to support their work too! Shukran!
