When we talk with others, give speeches and try to teach groups of people about Islam, we should try harder to only say things that fit that situation and be very, very brief.
There's not much to gain in rambling on - I know we sound good to our own ears, but honestly, our talk should be clear, concise and to the point. Leave the talkathon for European elections.
Al-Bukhari reported that Anas said: "The Prophet's, peace be upon him, speech was clear and succinct, neither too long not too short, and he disliked chattering and ranting."
Similarly Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated a hadith in which Aisha said: "The Prophet spoke [so few words] that you could count his words."
Talk like Muslim people, even if you are not a Muslim, there's much wisdom behind keeping lectures short.
